Sylvester Ward was born in Hollywood, FL and grew up in the smaller city Dania Beach, FL. He was raised by his grandmother Annette Stone and his father Sylvester Ward Sr. In spite of a lesser relationship with his mother Andre Parsons, she was one of his greatest influences. Sylvester has always been an over acheiver in school and his community. Even though he had developed a passion for music at an early age, he has always been a talented writer. Sylvester Ward has won numerous essay and poetry.  "Writing my first book was a personal goal that I wanted to set for myself. Writing a book was I felt that people with a similar background that I have wasn't thinking of and I wanted to be different. Writing 'Chronicles of a Quiet Man brought me an overwhelming feeling of joy but I felt that I could do better and that's why started book number two, 'Two Version's of the Truth." Sylvester once said.
