I have written this book for those who have interest in world of cinema. It can be hinted as a concise history of a part of world cinema. I have covered two of the cinematic movements around the world – German Expressionism & Film-noir; and one of my favorite directors of all time - Sir Fritz Lang. This book represents an extended and thoroughly compilation of my multidimensional views on the subject. I was always in touch with the world of cinema from my schooldays. It guided me to the world history of films. I was fascinated by the film movements. So, I took myself to the beginning era of German Expressionism & Soviet Montage (not to mention, thanks to internet). I think that the German Expressionism is precursor to all the movements around the world. I preferred Sir Fritz Lang, the most, during that time. Later my view on films expanded to Noir, Italian Neorealism, French New Wave, New Hollywood, Japanese New Wave, Indian New Wave & New German Cinema. I have watched a lot of films on these movements, some of them I have also kept as Memoir of World Cinema. After a long stint with these films, I settled on to give my passion & ideas a literal look.
