When I was settled in the 14th Century, it was very difficult to come back to the present, both as an author and as a character.

Mother of two, I live by the sea with my husband and enjoy long walks on the beach with Spitzli, our mini Schnauzer. When I'm not writing, I like reading, sewing and travel. My interest in Medieval History and a desire to learn the details of the Wilhelm Tell legend motivated me to spend time in Switzerland and to research and write The Unhewn Stone from the opposition's point of view, i.e. from the tyrant-governor's descendent.
I wanted to show there is little difference between freedom fighters and terrorists. I also wanted to experience life in the Middle Ages and share this with history students. In the process I developed an interest in alchemy which, though mostly subliminal in the novel, was a bonus for me.
