When life bites, I write about what I bite...eats and kitchen digs. My poetry, Louise's Caveat Kitchen, pleases my palate, sometimes like sorbet, others like a fur ball. Caveat: Pompous palates (without issues) may have to chew longer.

I teach yoga and meditation, and for nearly forty years I have chased the light until I'm dim. Reaching emptiness and what sometimes feels like unbearable pain, unleashed my inner writer. Meet Louise, my alias who shares my middle name! She seems to have an edgy clarity that shines with humor. When I allow her to write, she becomes a goddess of grace with abilities to craft something smelly and putrid into something ornery and tasty. I like to cook, so my poetry is influenced by food and kitchen imagery. The kitchen is my metaphor for life where we manage it, create it and deal with its messes. Rumi and Hafiz are a couple of my favorite poets.
