I was born on an Airforce Base in Alexandria, Louisiana. I am 50 years old and have been on my own since the age of 12. I make every effort possible to reach out to our youths and adults that are on the streets to try helping them detour and reposition their lives. Also to families helping them to stay together and stop the exploitation of our children. My latest effort is getting the book I wrote

Background Information

First let me say that I am in no way a licensed Therapist but I do have book knowledge (a psychology major) and have learned from 30 years of REAL LIVED EXPERIENCE on the streets. MAJOR INFLUENCES THAT MADE ME WANT TO WRITE; The first book; THE STREETS, MY CRADLE. Being able to overcome most of the affect sexual abuse  had on my life and a thirty year drug & alcohol addiction. Being a victim/survivor of alot of abuse including sexual abuse as a child and not knowing who  to go to for help. Inspired me to write this book to help make sure NO OTHER CHILD OR ADULT AFFECTED BY ANY FORM OF ABUSE CARRY THAT LOAD BY THEMSELVES AND NOT BE AWARE OF WHERE TO GO FOR HELP. Also I was inspired because I wanted both Youth and Adult survivors of the same type of horrific experriences I had to know ;THAT THEY CAN GET BETTER .  Wanting to give hope to those in recovery and those still in their addiction and/or suffering from a mental illness. To be a positive example that participating in Therapy/groups helps. And reaching out to that HIGHER POWER HELPS.  To give HOPE to the children and other family members  of the person recovering from any of the above, all of this played a major influence in me writing this book. My second book; DON'T IGNORE MY CHILD'S CRIES, was written for all the same reasons but on a national scale to stop the exploitation of our children by the system and foster parents.

COMING SOON MY THIRD BOOK, IN MEMORY OF MY MOTHER, ROSE WATER a collection of inspiring poems and short stories by ROSALEE G. JACKSON. SHE WAS A WRITER AND NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO ACCOMPLISH HER DREAM OF GETTING A BOOK PUBLISHED. WHEN SHE PASSED, FEBRUARY 27, 2014, I FOUND A LOT OF HER WRITINGS. I'M WORKING ON THAT BOOK NOW.
