A civil engineer and industrial designer by profession, working in mostly remote areas and always where there are disasters where I can use my many years of experience and knowhow. The experiences gained working mostly with the poor and disadvantaged in difficult conditions opens many opportunities for gathering information that might one day make their way into a novel ... there's a lot going on in these hidden worlds that illuminate the condition of society, especially in the West, and allow fictional comment that is not so far removed from truth ... the best basis for an interesting read. Combining detailed information about unknown or little known countries and regions with a story line that has direct reference to what is going on in the rest of the world is the challenge.

Huge interest in good food, am an excellent cook in mediteranean style, travel in aircraft these days is torture rather than the adventure it once was. In love with Sicily and most of the rest of the world.
