Born and raised in Malta, Rosanne Dingli draws upon Mediterranean life as a background in many of her stories. She also writes about continental Europe and of course Australia. Her main theme is the human condition, relationships between partners, siblings, and children and parents. Mid-life confusion and adaptation to lifestyle changes are subjects she frequently deals with.            

Among Rosanne Dingli's literary awards are the Springvale (Melbourne, Australia) and the FAWWA Short Fiction Awards (Western Australia). She has also received the prestigious Patricia Hackett Prize.
