Brought up in the Middle East (valuable Arab influences), schooled in the UK (questionable Western influences!), a colourful career in journalism (that's the story-telling bit) and a decade in public relations (how to make it up!).
In 2005 I moved to Monda, Spain and got to grips with the local culture and history. Julius Caesar marched through my garden ... yup, The Man was 'ere, in 45BCE, giving the sons of Pompey a good going over at the Battle of Munda (Monda). So I wrote my first novel, Libertas, all about the effect of JC's civil war on this idyllic community.
Then I wrote Goliath - a familiar story told without paying attention to the religious spin doctors, followed by False Prophet, another tale of the ancient near east that might get me into trouble with more than one religion.
There's a lot more to come as I follow my calling: Bringing History's Treasures to Life.
