Anna Kashina combines her backgrounds as a scientist and an author to write well researched, compelling works of historical fiction and fantasy in historical settings.  Her published work is influenced by fairy tales and folklore, including Arabian Nights (The Spirits of the Ancient Sands series), and Russian fairy tales (Ivan and Marya).  She is also exploring the genres of paranormal and traditional quest fantasy.  Her work has been published in Russia, Germany, and the US.
