By the time he was 19, Rob Harris had circumnavigated the world three times. And for the next ten years, as a marine engineer, served on almost every type of ship, from cargo tramp vessels and oil tankers to luxuary passenger ships and coastal ferries. A late university engineering degree gave Rob the opportunity to move from the marine operational front line to the realms of ship building. A career that saw him supervising the building of large ships and oil rigs. The work took him worldwide - Norway, Denmark, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Australia, Japan and Brazil.
During the whole of his career, Rob Harris kept diaries and notes of his experiences and details of the countries he had worked and lived in. His first novel 'The Quisling Legacy' is a work of fiction but contains many true facts and details drawn from the real world. Rob's imagination provides the rest.
