I am an artist. Being creative is a big part of who I am. I look past 'the actual' to find the 'what might be'. I enjoy wood carving, candle making, quilting, crocheting, sewing, but my biggest love is writing and illustrating.
I write and illustrate books. I started writing when I was in first grade. The book is titled "The Littlest Ballerina". The stories come continually. A pen drops on the floor and its story appears in my mind. I am compelled to write it down and draw its events. I have had poetry published in many anthologies over the years. But this past year I finally got my first book published for the world to enjoy. It is titled, Cranium City. And it truly uplifted my spirits.
I am a wife, mother & grandmother of 8 and counting. My husband motivates me the most. His belief in my talents is amazing. We have been together for 28 years and counting. Life and my Grandchildren give me fuel for subject matter. Creating the life a thing can be through words and/or drawings. To see what it does for a child's imagination is inspiring. If I can spark interest into a child to write and or draw from their imagination - this is good.
Laughter and fun are keys to my writing. There is too much sad out in the world today. So I write to find the happy places in worlds that exist in my imagination.
