I had always avoided getting a computer.  Last year for my birthday my generous sister gave me a laptop.  After playing games on it for several months, I decided to see if I could figure out the word processing capabilities.  I decided to use the notes from my novel. 

      For two months the characters took over and I didn't get much sleep and didn't eat much.  I just couldn't make my characters behave.  They didn't go in the direction I had planned for them.  Some characters jumped into my book that I hadn't planned and they were really bad characters.  Once I decided to quit fighting and let the characters do their thing, it didn't take that long for my characters to write my book.

     After completing my book entitled Blood on White Wicker, I tried to write two other novels I had in my head.  This time the characters didn't take over and I was struggling.  The characters from Blood on White Wicker were still calling to me.  I'm in the process of writing a sequel called Portrait on Wicker.  It should be out by Christmas.

     I am a retired older lady but I didn't retire from life.  I still enjoy all the things I liked to do.  If you met me, you wouldn't believe I was the same person who writes about such dark characters.  I'm really a nice person with a godd sense of humor.
