At the age of seven, Theresa Crater announced to her parents she was going to be a writer. They promptly told her no one could make a living doing that. But like most kids, she didn’t listen. Theresa has published an Egyptian contemporary fantasy Under the Stone Paw and several short stories, most recently “Bringing the Waters” in The Aether Age: Helios. She’s also published poetry and a baker’s dozen of literary criticism. She holds a B.A. in English, an M.A. in counseling and a Ph.D. in English.
Currently, she teaches writing and literature in Denver, but her first serious job was teaching meditation. Since that time, she’s poked around with western metaphysics, Qabalah, various forms of shamanism, Wicca, and Reiki. Not to mention reading mythology from many cultures. Theresa’s fiction blends myth, metaphysics and just plain good adventure. Her husband, Stephen Mehler, is an independent Egyptologist who has three books out and leads tours to Egypt.
Theresa lives with Stephen and their two cats in Colorado, surrounded by the Rocky Mountains and all its wildlife.
