Madeson Penny is a 5th generation Washingtonian with a passion for people, poetry and politics. A beltway child and patriot, she is displeased with the current state of affairs in our great country, namely the unremitting corruption on Capitol Hill and the demise of our foundational principles of God, personal freedoms and liberty for all. Her work undeniably reflects this.
Since the age of 8, Madeson has been writing poetry. In 2010 she was God inspired to pen a dedication song to the innocent victims and families of the 9/11 attacks in New York, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania.
She has a particular love for Rhythmic American Poetry. Though not influenced by a particular writer, modern favorites include Tupac Shakur, Marshall Mathers III and the classic works of Walt Whitman and Thoreau.
