I have been writing since I could hold a pen, and put words together on paper. All my life I was told I could express my self very well with words; writing is my best friend. It has been there for me when I had no one to talk to. I am influenced by Shakespearean poetry, and folk songs fom Colombia, my country of birth. I also enjoy the works of Longfellow, T.S Elliot,and  Langston Hughes. I appreciate Tupac's poetical style. Also, other authors who influence me are: Kim Clement, C.S Lewis, and I appreciate the writing style of Gabriel Garcia Marquez; I enjoy his method of describing his characters and places. He makes you feel as if you know the character(s) thoroughly upon first meeting them. I use words to paint pictures that touch people's soul's; I write to free myself and in doing so, my voice serves to unlock those who read my work. If my work doesn't inspire, then I keep on because one day I hope to hit a target, which is the hearts of my readers. So far I have done so.... So far so good. I was born to write. Writing is my passion; and the vehicle to get me to my destiny.

I am a college graduate, I hold a B.A. in Fashion Design/Business. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from The American College For The Applied Arts, in Atlanta, GA. I also hold an A.A. in Biblical studies from Vision Christian College in Larwenceville, GA.

I recently published my first book. As Clear as Claire Gets, A Conversation with the Past. It is my autobiography. I just completed my second manuscript, a collection of short stories,poems,and prose, which I plan to publish soon! I am also a teacher and my full time job is home schooling my four kids.
