Me and books are the subject of a long and torrid love affair; I fell head over heels from the moment my dad sat me on his lap and taught me to read Green Eggs and Ham. I went through an Anne Rice phase (I still love her capacity to evoke settings, though she's a bit wordy for my tastes), fell deeply in love with Douglas Adams at eight years old and never fell out, discovered Kurt Vonnegut eight years after that and decided I wanted to be him when I grew up. I don't consume much in the way of pop fiction, but I've loved watching Stephen King mature as a writer (the Dark Tower series is among my top 5 of all time), and of course I got into the Daniel Steele books years before I probably should have :D
Fast forward to college, and my first foray into M/M at the feet of an amazing array of X-Files fanfic writers. It felt a bit like coming home to realize there were whole vast communities of whumpers out there who also found a little guy-on-guy action insanely hot, and once I knew the truth (so to speak!) was out there, I never left.
Now I'm a freelance writer and editor. I've dipped my toes into cable news and book publishing, but moved on to helping would-be authors polish and publish, writing for websites and magazines, and ghostwriting nonfiction. My professional interests vary widely; I'm a Contributing Editor to Construction Source Magazine, a political/media blogger at the Huffington Post (if I can still claim that after having crawled under a newsless rock for over a year and having written nothing for them), a ghostwriter in the small business and motivational space, and a writer of all kinds of fiction, M/M erotic romance among my favorites.
Today you can find me on various fake news and Stargate Atlantis fanfic communities, Goodreads, and the Guiltless Pleasure Publishing forums. When I'm not reading or writing H/C slashfic, I'm performing in musicals, hiking, gluing captions to cats, and examining the (often lamentable) intersection of media, politics, and civic engagement.
