With machete in hand, well actually a keyboard and occasionally a pen, I am trying to forge that trail. I have recently published my first book, “Let the Willows Weep” after years of the characters haunting my thoughts and then a few more years to write their lives upon the page.
For me, writing isn’t a choice but rather an innate need. Always an avid reader with a vivid imagination, I spent many childhood hours with either my face buried between the pages of a book or playing in my vivid and carefully crafted world of make-believe. As an adult, my love for books has only grown and my imaginary world still exists but instead of riding stallions made of sticks and climbing trees turned fortresses, I write.
I write the words of the characters that I hear daily, dream about nightly and listen to intently. My only hope is that others discover and read my book and find themselves as caught up, lost in and loving it as much as I have so many other stories.
