First and foremost, I was inspired by my Mother and Father who were both well eductated.  I was also inspired by the Beatles and John Lennon as he  is my favorite Beatle.  I like his wit and satire; and for what he believed in.  He painted the canvas winds with his painted music.  Paul McCartney was a dual dynamic I admit however, as I am more like him than I am to John.  Jim Morrison and the Doors also inspired me believe it or not.  I must give Jimi Hendrix credit also because his poetry was one of many mediums in which to fuse lyrics with music.  I guess you could say my influences stemmed from Music, great teachers in school, particularly Ms. Stolcles in Tenth grade where she showed us how themes were important tapestry for literature.. I also, however believe that writing is subjective.  i have three anthologies of poetry of different style and tone.  I want to be remembered for my works...   Who doesn't dream of such aspirations coming to fruition?  Well that is all I can tell you for now other than that I am Thirty years old and single.... I guess writing is a solitary game lol!  Matt

I was given great compliment from my 12th Grade Lit teacher for my work on "The Tempest" for which I wrote a poem. She asked for a copy... My other was being published at A.S.U. in 1999.

All I can say is that I am always experimenting with the beast known as the English Language. I am intrigued that a little fleck of the pen can change the meaning of an entire sentence let alone a paragraph. I love writing! NEWS!! I am now in contract with Publish America for my Book of poetry aptly titled: The Lettered Garden-An Anthology and other Oddities by Matthew J. Reiman. As of June First I am in the process of being published as that is when I submitted my Final Manuscript. This truly is a Dream come true.
