As a script consultant I sincerely believe that stories resonate with large audiences across the world primarily because they tap into what Walter R. Fisher calls narrative fidelity. This runs parallel to what Tolkien, Lord of the Rings author, meant when he said "the significance of myth goes deeper than the skill of the artist."
I've obtained several degrees that focus specifically on this kind of Christological and Mythical content coding: BA in Film and Theology, MA in directing and MFA in script and screenwriting. While currently working on my doctorate, I help teach college screenwriting courses.
