I started out writing poetry and this will always remain my first love. I have since extended my writing repertoire to short stories and most recently novels. My influences are good writers, no matter the genre, though my favorites are novels about spies, espionage, and romance.
Since I began with poetry, my early influences were Alice Walker, Gwendolyn Brooks, and later, Phyllis Wheatley.

I have been published in two anthologies, Adam of Ife, Black Women in Praise of Black Men (Lotus Press,1992)and Inner Visions of the People; A Poetry Anthology (Detroit Black Writers Guild, 1994). I have also had numerous essays published in newspapers and magazines.
