I have been an active member of the Official Patrick Swayze International Fan Club since 2000 and have written numerous articles for the club magazine. I have been a master's level social worker for over thirty-three years. I have brought my passion and strong personal connection to the movie, Dirty Dancing with my social work background to write a unique book about the movie. The book focuses on the positive impact the movie has had on so many people's lives and why it remains so popular after over twenty years. A must-have for any Dirty Dancing/Patrick Swayze fan.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book is being donated to the Patrick Swayze Pancreas Cancer Research Fund at Stanford Cancer Institute.
