I've been writing since 1997 when I published a marketing guide for Artists. I have to admit, I couldn't even write a letter to a friend before that. When I got the idea to interview artists, find exhibition opportunities, write and edit the guide, it took a month of pep talks from my mother and sister-in-law. Luckily, I got the confidence to put my pencil down on paper, and I haven't stopped writing since.

In the course of writing my first book, Mike Hynson - Transcendental Memories of a Surf Rebel, by Michael Lear Hynson and myself, we formed a publishing company, learning every aspect of the business; writing, editing, layout, and marketing a book.
