I was born before plastic in Southeastern Oklahoma. I went to a one-room country school with 8 grades and one teacher. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BS with Distinction and a Phi Beta Kappa key. I've been writing and publishing for a long time.

Background Information

Growing up in the country, I learned self-sufficiency, common sense, and how to think outside the box. I like to write about kids and wildlife, and also political issues.

Accomplishments

BS with Distinction, University of Oklahoma. Phi Beta Kappa Key. Self employed for 30 years.

My latest book is Magic Summer of Bluebirds which I wrote with my mother-in-law, Lucille Nellis.
