Lee has always been an avid reader. She has been writing poetry since she was a teenager and was greatly encouraged by her mom who was not only her best friend but also her biggest fan.
Lee has had her works published in the literary journal "In The Write Mind" two consecutive years, 1994/1995.
Three of her poems were chosen for publication into a book *Silent No More* in Australia with many other survivors with proceeds to go to charity.
She is currently working on her first complete book of poetry and her memoir. She has a few other projects in various stages of progress as well.
Maya Angelou, Josef Brodsky, Langston Hughes, Sylvia Plath, Edgar Allan Poe, Robert Frost, Henry David Thoreau are but a sampling of those whose works influence her. Lee has also had the tremendous pleasure of meeting and speaking with Josef Brodskey back in the mid 90's when he came to speak at Creative Writing class at CFCC. It was a moment in time she will treasure forever.
