Richard tells the true stories of brave Americans at war in the cradle of civilization.

Background Information

Richard has dedicated his life to telling the stories of America's sons and daughters at war in the 21st century. Richard's writing is inspired by the work of the renound World War II correspondant, Cornelius Ryan. He strives to put you in the shoes of the men on the battlefield.

Richard believes that history doesn't have to be boring. He tells compelling stories but insists on accurate portrayals of the facts. His books are page-turners and read like best-selling novels.

Accomplishments

New Dawn has been nominated for the 2011 Pulitzer Prize in History. It has also been nominated for the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation's coveted General Wallace M. Greene Jr. award and was the recipient of the Military Writers Society of America's 2010 Gold Medal in History.

Marines in the Garden of Eden was the recipient of the MWSA's Silver Medal for history in 2006.

The Gulf War Chronicles received Honorable mention from MWSA in 2006 and has achieved STAR distinction from iUniverse.

Additional Information

Richard was the consultant for the feature-length documentary film, Perfect Valor. It won the best documentary award at the 2009 GI Film Festival.
