I am blessed as a wife, mother, and grandmother. The joy of reading has been with me since early childhood, although somewhere along the way I developed an interest for creative writing. This carried over and expanded in adult years as I added the world of poetry and sketching to my interests. I've never considered any of them more than a hobby due to being a single parent took top priority. It wasn’t until after I retired that I understood how my talent for expressing words and art was a special gift from God and I am forever grateful to my Savior every time I can express my inner thoughts through a story, poetry, or a drawing.
I've included a little insight regarding the creation of my non-fiction book, "A Vision Beyond Abuse." After a loved one died, I sat down and began writing in my journal how his life touched me, but what unfolded was something entirely different. God led my writing onto a different path, that of my broken past, so I could find a peace and healing. For decades I kept silent about enduring spousal abuse. Because I was emotionally scarred, I was unable to confide with anyone. Ghostly skeletons haunted me until the unseen Spirit came along side and brought me out of my silence.
