I won a Hawthorne Literary Award when I was about 10. The poem was blatantly plagiarized and went like this,
"There was a young girl who said why,
Can't I look in my ear with my eye?
If I put my mind to it,
I'm sure I can do it.
You never can tell till you try."
-unknown
I DID find the author once, but have forgotten who it was.
I don't really think I stole this poem on purpose, but that was a long time ago... I'll give the two-dollar bill back if you think that would be the right thing to do. I'm pretty sure I've still got it somewhere!
