Background Information

Sidnitra Christine Bates is a native of McRae, Georgia. Her love of words began at an early age, expressing herself through art, poetry and song.

Ms. Bates graduated from Clark Atlanta University and she has self-published a book of poetry entitled, “Lyric in Haiku.”

Writing is one of her many passions and listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit is what gives her motivation.

Lyric in Haiku
Lyric in Haiku is a collection of poems written in the traditional Japanese style known as haiku. Haiku poetry consist of three lines, the first and last consisting of five syllables, and the second consisting of seven syllables, usually with an emphasis on the season or a naturalistic theme.
