Jack is a chemical engineering professor with experience in petroleum, nuclear, electrochemical, and other engineering fields. He has been a consultant to NASA, DOE, and other federal offices. He also consults in the private sector. He is the author of a textbook in chemical engineering used world-wide (Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics, Wiley, 1996) and hundreds of technical articles.
Jack is also a professional actor having played the lead in two premieres (Jakes Women, by Neil Simon; and A Few Good Men, by Aaron Sorkin). He will be appearing soon in Los Angeles in the Tony Award-winning "Copenhagen" by Michael Frayn.
His first novel, "East Wind" is a fiction thriller based on the frightening possibility of nuclear terrorism carried out by radical Islamists. Contrary to the Hollywood science-fiction productions, this work is based on solid scientific and engineering information.
