I grew up on Long Island, but have lived in Indiana for almost 40 years. Widowered in 2008 after 35 years of marriage.
My favorite writers are Annie Dillard, Kurt Vonnegut, Mary Oliver and William Stafford, among other too numerous to mention. My writing has been greatly influenced by lots of other writers -- maybe you.
I have written poetry and fiction since age 14. College life was not for me, but I have read, studied and worked to improve my craft all my life. I am a retired letter carrier and finally have the time to write extensively and pursue publication.
I've completed one novel, 'Renouncing the Future,' and am working on two more. I have a body of work of 200-300 poems, mostly free verse. I try to get readers to ponder the big questions in life and consider philosophical and metaphysical ideas which they might not ordinarily consider themselves, injecting humor wherever possible.
