I have had a wonderful career as a teacher and school administrator and did not begin writing seriously until I left the profession. In the last ten years I published ten short stories in various magazines and written six novels, two of which are currently in publication.
I have always had a fertile imagination. As a child I would constantly ask "what if..." and mange to come up with scenarios that were both interesting and outrageous.
As a teenager, I loved reading Edgar Allen Poe eventually graduating to the more modern mysteries of Mickey Spillane and Lawrence Sanders. The novel CARRIE, by Stephen King was my first foray into modern horror and I was hooked.
Today, my writing combines the various genres of mystery, suspense and horror, always with a smattering of humor. I am strongly influenced by Dean Koontz, Jeffery Deaver and John Sanford.
I love to get lost in the new world I have created. I am awed by the power manipulating life and shaping emotions. To me, writing fiction that others enjoy is the among the most satisfying undertaking I could ever have.
