I was born and raised in New Orleans and yes, I did suffer through the torments of Katrina and in many ways am still recovering. I began writing at seven but never thought of pursuing the craft as a career. I probably got the bug from my father who ran an independent motion picture production company in the French Quarter. I grew up on movie sets and learned how to run much of the behind the scene operations. But I followed in my mother's footsteps and went into the medical business. I have worked as a clinical nurse specialist in gerontology for over twenty years and have taught nursing at some of the local colleges. I continued writing on and off during my nursing career until my husband encouraged me to self-publish one of the many books I had written. That book was To My Senses. The continuing story of Nicci Beauvoir and her struggles with her tragic loss became the focus of my next book, Recovery
