I grew up reading the usual suspects--Stephen King and Dean Koontz. I was heavily inspired by the novels of Robert R. McCammon. I got to study with John Saul and fantasy author Terry Brooks in Rome. I studied creative writing and screen writing at the University of Texas at Austin. My parents taught me to go after your dreams and to this day I have never quit.

I wrote fiction for fifteen years before I published my first novel, SHADOWS IN THE MIST, as a trade paperback in 2006. It won a gold medal for best horror novel in the 2007 Independent Publishing Awards and I got to go to New York to get my medal. Two months later, Berkley/Penguin bought the mass paperback rights and re-released SHADOWS IN THE MIST in September, 2008. In 2010, the German version released in Austria and Germany under the title SCHATTENKRIEGER. I recenlty landed a deal with Samhain Publishing for my second novel, DEAD OF WINTER. I am thrilled to be working with the legendary editor, Don D'Auria who is starting up a brand new horror line. I am currently at work on my third novel, SKINNERS.
