After suffering a long illness that kept me at arms length from people ( and still does), I found my only form of communication was the written word. Early retirement from Local Government left me with time on my hands to join social networks..Ha, ME social !!
A friend asked me" How's your day been" and I decided to answer with a form of diary for the day and I have to admit that it and the truth were strangers. She lovd it and demanded all my messages were the same. My wife joined in and started asking me to print the day off as bedtime reading....after all, she didn't recognise the day either.
Eventually my friend, who just happened to be an author suggested...demanded..that I write a book. So, My Barsetshire Diary was born. It raised a few questions with people as to why I sometimes used crutches in the book, but seemingly not all the time. The Queen's Envoy was written in the form of a prequel to hopefully answer this question and also to explain about my Title. I decided that maybe I should give myself a job rather than the mundane life I led stuck in the house so much. I think I let my imagination run away with me.
