I wrote" Dial a Dynamite Dog" because of my love of animals, and the misconceptions about training them. Whenever I would walk into a clients home for a dog training appointment, I would see numerous training books on their nightstands.. Many of these books were "old school" with forceful methods and negative ideas of why animals behave the way they do. Furthermore all of the books were around 400 pages and very technical. Regardless of who wrote the book, all clients I asked were confused by all of the information and left reading instead of training.
I decided I would write a dog training book that cuts to the chase, was short in length and would only provide basic information on training and training theories and techniques to get people started. I consider it an almost "Cliff Notes" to training. I stripped the book of technical terms and only featured animal friendly techniques. I wanted the book to be easily portable, and thus I decided to make it soft cover. The book gives you creative ideas on training anything or anyone, including your spouse!
I love photography, primarily photographing dogs (I also have worked on ad campaigns with some of the best photographers in the business handling dogs for them) The cover shot of this book is my dog Saffron taken while stuck inside during a blizzard in Southampton.
