Kerry Wood went from a Catholic military boarding school (at age 4) to Yale University and a Master's Degree in English. He has published hundreds of articles and poems on Helium.com and is a past vice president of the Central California Writers Club, a division of the California Writers Club.

He self-published Past Imperfect, Present Progressive, a memoir, in 2006.
