I've always wanted to write something, anything really.  Toyed with ideas for childrens books, but they never progressed beyond initial thoughts and scribbles. Then during late 2009 I fell in love with a series of vampire romance novels and more specifically the characters.  However, as I mused about them, I discovered there were a couple of annoying traits that niggled at me and I started to form my own characters and then a situation followed and I put pen to paper, (or rather fingers to keyboard).  

At first I felt silly.  Who am I to think I can write a story? I thought.  I couldn't tell anyone what I was doing.  On each occasion that I stole some time to work on my novel I felt as if I were engaging in an affiar.  It became my guilty pleasure.  

Once I finished the story and edited it several hundred times, being an impatient individual I decided to skip the endless Literary Agency lottery and leapt into self-publishing my novel into an eBook.  

I don't have any formal writing qualifications, accrediations of awards, but would appreciate any feedback on my first novel but above all I hope you enjoy my story.
