I grew up in a small community of around 1300 people and I lived a very sheltered life by any standard. I have always been told that I am a very good story teller. People would say I could make watching grass grow interesting.
I was adopted at birth and had longings to know my birth story which was a 45 year journey and I am now putting it into a third book.
My first book was based on a murder that actually took place in my small community but it was more fun to use the base story and fictionalize it just a bit. It deals with the lies and secrets we tell and keep from our families. We think we are doing them a favor but in the end not so much is gained from deception.
My second book is about five high school friends and their lives leading up to their 30th birthday when they get together and one of them is murdered and one of them is accused of the murder.
My third book is based on my adoption story and the journey I took to find my birth families but it is also an adventure about what it takes to go through the journey. It isn't always a fun journey and there is a lot of hurt that comes with the search.
I love writing and have many more stories to tell.
