Background Information

 

An apprenticeship in Switzerland led to Michelin awards in three different restaurants and later, to the position of Executive Chef at The International Sporting Club, Park Lane, London (formerly The Playboy Club) and Executive Chef at the film and music industry oriented St James' Club, Mayfair.
 
David Evans is a former Vice President of The World Master Chefs Society and in his role as International Competition Director, served as chairman of judges at major salons and competitions in the UK, America, France, Ireland and Bangkok.
He is an honorary member of the guilds of Limousin and Provence chefs, and of the Texas Chefs Association.
 
He has presented dinners in association with many luminaries such as Anton Edelman, Jean Bordier (Meilleur Ouvrier De France), Salvador Gallega (former Chef to King Juan Carlos) and the late Bernard Loiseau and Jane Grigson. By invitation, he has also presented his own menus at many hotels and restaurants throughout the UK, as well as international gastronomic festivals in Bangkok (twice), America, Northern and Southern Ireland and France.
 
He is the author of Bitter Taste and has recently completed his latest book, Sour Grapes – a suspense/thriller which is inspired by the proven case of wine tampering at Château Giscours.
 
In addition to novel writing, he is also a features writer for Stereoboard, and a member of Mensa.
