Background
Information
|
|
I have been a public relations professional since 1990 and have been working independently since 2007 providing freelance writing services, corporate communications training and writing workshops. I had moved to Dubai in 2007, which was what triggered my career transition. I was inspired by friends and colleagues at the same time to share my experiences with others and wrote my first book, @Home in Dubai...Getting Connected Online and on the Ground. More recently I published my first novel, Mental Pause.
I have travelled all over the world and have been living as an expat since 1993. I grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia and attended Mount St. Vincent University and received a Bachelor of Public Relations.

Writing...Just Because
After 20 years in PR, I decided it was time to just write! Here's where I blog about what it's like to be a freelance writer, the process of becoming an author, what it's like to live as an expat and I do book reviews on these topics too.
Anne the Writer
Here's where I interact with friends and followers (mostly other writers) and share interesting resources that I come across in my daily work and play.
