Martin Gijzemijter was born June 2nd 1979 in Amsterdam (if only for lack of a hospital in Lelystad, where he actually lives), the Netherlands. Songwriter, journalist, but only one true ambition: becoming an author!

Background Information

Martin Gijzemijter was born June 2nd 1979 in Amsterdam (if only for lack of a hospital in Lelystad, where he actually lives), the Netherlands.

After finishing high school, everyone was certain that the school for Journalism was the way to go for him...everyone but Martin himself. After graduation, he decided not to do Journalism school and started his own company, stating: "I want people to love what my mind tells me to write, not what my education tells me to write". The first couple of years were rough, but today, Martin is a succesful author of articles for a variety of magazines in the Netherlands, and in addition a (moderately) succesful songwriter.

The next dream? Becoming a succesful author, which is what this project is all about.
