I've been writing my stories since I was a child. I'm inspired by strong women-- real and fictional. My favorite writers include Loisa May Alcott, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Agatha Christie, Ian Fleming, Rex Stout and many others!
Since joining Panhandle Professional Writers a in 2009, I have become more focused with my writing. I am part of a wonderful critique group that sharpens my skills every week. I am currently working on three novels, in varying stages.
Lydia, Woman of Purple is a work of historical fiction based on the story of Lydia and the demon-possessed slave girl, from the book of Acts in the Bible. It is available on amazon for kindle.
Pockets is a children's book about a child who collects all sorts of goodies in the pockets of her overalls. At the end of the day she realizes that the best things in life can't be carried in pockets.

I'm in the process of writing a second novel based on a woman from the Bible, as well as a YA Sci-Fi novel inspired by the life of Annie Oakley. I'm in the late stages of editing a suspense series, too!
