"There is nothing more potent than thought. Deed follows words and words follow thought." Gandhi

Background Information

Author, African-American Guide to Prosperity is an African-American poet, lyrcist ( Pop, R&B, Gospel), writer, Transistional Celebrant and strong proponent of Positive Thinking.

My major influences are the people in my life. My motiivation(s) comes mostly from my experiences. However, sometimes my muse comes in the form of music and/or visual art. I write about what I see and feel. What has been real and of value in my life and in the life of people in my community are woven into my artistic endeavors. For me, as an African-American writer my ultimate goal is to:  engage, empower and inspirie the reader.

The writers that have greatly influenced my world view and therefore my writings are:  Zora Neal Hurston, Virginia Hamilton, Fredrick Douglass,  Ernest Holmes, Norman Vincent Peale, Catherine Ponder, James Weldon Johnson,  Dr. Margaret Burroughs,  Langston Hughes,  Napoleon Hill, Tennessee WIlliams, Chaucer, Charles Diickens, Mark Twain,  Paul Laurence Dunbar, W.E.B DuBois, Marcus Garvey, Margaret Walker, Ida B. Wells, Richard Wright,, Maya Angelou, Stephen B. Oats, Gandhi, Martin Luther King,Jr,  Joseph Murphy, Jessamyn West, August Wilson and Frank London Brown.
