Graduate Mechanical Engineer with MBA. Thirty plus years working for the US Navy with both Navy, Marines and Army military and civilians. Spent half of career in overseas jobs and assignments including many years in Philippines, Japan, Guam, Okinawa and many stays in Hawaii. Engineering Manager associated with Naval Ships, Ammunition and Weapons and US bases in the US as well as at various overseas locations.
Taught Management, Business, Supervision, Marketing, Public Speaking, Writing, and other related classes at College level both in US as well as overseas. Taught English to Japanese students.
Active in Toastmasters International for over 30 years and formed several clubs. Attained highest honor of DTM or Distinguished Toastmaster and won two National Speaking Championships in Philippines.
Active in Scouting for many years including Eagle Scout Award as a Boy Scout. Held many scouting positions including Director of Scouts at the Subic Bay Naval Station in the Philippines.
Spouse and I were in Subic Bay, Philippines during the Volcanic eruption of Mount Pinatubo and that experience was awe inspiring. We stayed until base closure.
LIved in Washington, DC area and worked as consultant to various military bases on improvement of financial, technical and operational procedures.
