My book, Real Country: From the Fast Track to Appalachia, written as Leslie Brunetsky, won the Humor Book of the Year Award from High Country Writers for 2009.Family Secrets: Three Generations was named YA Novel of the Year 2011 and made the quarterfinals of the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Competition.

My newest novel, Another F-Word, published in January, 2013 follows the growing pains of a young gay boy, Rory Calhoun Wilson. The story is about bullying, courage and love and demonstrates that with the right support and mentors, kids who are bullied can survive and thrive.

Two essays appear in High Country Headwaters, published in Oct. 2012.
