Background

I began writing poetry at age seven, finished my first novel at thirteen. Two full-length poetry books, Snow, Shadows, a Stranger and Beneath the Lion's Paw, were published in 2009 and 2011 by FootHills. In 2012, a collection, Fog and Other Stories, was issued by StoneGarden.Net Publishing, and my first novel, Jenny Kidd, was published by Vagabondage Press.
I received a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University and worked for Princeton University Press for many years, first as the promotion design manager and later as Assistant Manager of the book design department. There, I learned a great deal about editing, design, and production, which was utilized when I became a freelancer to university press publishers and museums. However, writing has always been my passion so it is with great pleasure that I can now devote all of my time and energy to writing novels, stories, and poems.
