“I've always liked telling stories...thing is, no one wants oral stories these days -- and more to the point, they don't want novel-length stories...they want fast and dirty (it's a time thing just like everything else is the car-pool lane through life). I like believable plots, defined characters, and creative ideas that are original and distinct. When I discover what I'm writing reads like or sounds like someone else's, I rein in and reconstruct -- I guess that’s why it takes me so long to get out a single novel in book form. That and the fact that I’m constantly proofing and editing and reproofing and re-editing. I think I’m what they call anal about my work NOT becoming cookie-cutter stories.”
Mimi Wolske earned degrees as a double major in the colleges of Fine Arts and English at Arizona State University where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and was graduated with honors. Other recent honors and awards: White House Fellow nominee, National Achievement Award for HW Proposal, International Privacy Security Award, American Entrepreneur Award, Listed in Stanford’s Who’s Who.
