My influences are my life experiences.  I have lived in Two countries, but have traveled to over 30.  I find waching people in love and then writing fiction about my experiences is the greatest thing for my heart.

My family had moved around a lot during my childhood years, so friends would come and go from my life like sneakers. The constant flux that was my life also found its way into my relationships. There was an elderly couple who would come in from time-to-time and stay in our best suite. I couldn’t tell you their last names, but I will never forget how they held hands whenever they walked together. He was always there to open a door for her and he always had a smile on his face when he looked at her. One day, the elderly gentleman came down to the front desk and we spoke about love for a few minutes. He said they’d been married for 35 years. The two of them had known each other since high school and randomly met up years later after their individual divorces. He said they reconnected quickly and were married within a year. I asked him what the key was to finding true love. I will never forget the smile he had on his face while answering such a powerful question to somebody so young. He told me his wife drives him crazy every single day of his life. He paused and then said but she seldom makes him mad. You see, he wasn’t insulting his wife. Instead, he meant that every time he looked at her, heard her voice or held her hand, he fell in love with her all over again. This book is dedicated to the journey of finding your best friend, your true love, and a happily ever after. I know it’s out there, because I’ve witnessed it in person. Michael R. Michael Purdy
