I studied create writing at Mary Washington College and credit the wonderful professors there for providing me with a solid writing foundation. I have published hundreds of poems, short stories and non-fiction articles in literary magazines including Exquisite Corpse, CrossConnect, Weber Studies and others. I have twice been published in the Rhysling Anthology and was nominated for a PushCart prize for poetry by Lite: Baltimore's Literary Arts Newspaper.  I previously served as the editor of The Alsop Review where I worked with Pulitzer Prize winner Henry Thomas and brought the works of the late Gwendlyn MacEwen online.
