Dianne Tchir (Elsenheimer) resides near Slave Lake, Alberta, Canada. A retired High School English and Drama teacher, her poetry has been published in various literary magazines and and anthologies. More recently she has published a children's book and a keepsake book for parents.
Her work is inspired by the natural world and the beauty of her surroundings. She is particularly drawn to the structure and simplicity of haikus and they feature prominently in her recent publications.
When she is not writing she is teaching English as a Second Language, facilitating workshops in writing memoir and reader’s theatre, freelancing for a local newspaper and offering seniors a Chair Yoga program.
